Autopay Option for Kids Classes and Individual Lessons:

The Autopay option is a monthly subscription service is provided for the convenience and savings for continuing students. Please use this form only after your weekly class or lesson time is established. The amount chosen will be withdrawn from your account on a monthly basis until you unsubscribe.

Hamden Chess Club Membership:

HCC club members of all ages can join the Hamden Chess Club Team on and play chess casually with each other and also participate in our weekly online club tournaments.

Hamden Chess Club

Membership includes discounted tournament entry fees ($15mbrs/$25nonmbrs) for monthly Little Open adult quad tournaments and USCF Scholastic Quads tournaments (K-12) and USCF Swiss tournaments.

OTB play: HCC membership includes Adult Casual Play Mondays, 6:30-8:30pm (usually 1st, 2nd, 4th, (5th) Mondays each month). 3rd Mondays are normally reserved for Little Open tournaments.

HCC hosts up to three online tournaments each week for various rating levels (usually Mon., Wed., & Sat). Open to all ages. A $20 prize, (usually an Amazon gift card) goes to the first place winner if membership is in good standing and the tournament had a minimum of four HCC participants. Tournaments - Adults - Monthly "Little Open"

When: Little Open Adult Quad Tournaments occur on the 3rd Mondays of most months, 6:30pm-8:30pm
Time Control/format:
G/20, d3; Round-robin quads; Equipment provided
Entry fee: $15 HCC members; $25 non-members
Prizes: $30 1st each quad; one six player swiss group if necessary, with $20 2nd place prize
Eligibility: USCF membership is not required for monthly Little Open tournaments. Adults of all levels (high school age and up) are welcome. Elo (club rated games) not USCF.
Entry deadline: 12:00pm (Noon) on day of tournament. No sign ups at door! Refunds available until entry deadline. Registration may close earlier if tournament capacity is reached prior to noon on the day of the tournament.
Defaults: Players not checked in prior to start time may be defaulted. Clocks will start promptly
Byes: No byes due to round-robin format. All participants must play all three rounds
